Ingredients:
1 cup dried chickpeas, soaked overnight
1/4 cup tahini
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp salt
3-4 tbsp olive oil
Water as needed
Instructions
Drain and rinse the soaked chickpeas. Add them to a food processor or blender.
Add the tahini, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, and salt to the food processor or blender.
Begin to blend the ingredients, slowly pouring in the olive oil as the mixture blends.
If the mixture is too thick, add water as needed to achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.
Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
Serve the hummus with pita bread or crackers.
