Ingredients:
2 lbs of beef sirloin or ribeye, thinly sliced
1/2 cup of soy sauce
1/4 cup of brown sugar
3 tbsp of sesame oil
2 tbsp of mirin
2 tbsp of rice wine
1 tbsp of minced garlic
1 tbsp of grated ginger
1 tbsp of sesame seeds
1/4 cup of thinly sliced green onions
1/4 cup of thinly sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup of sliced onions
Salt and pepper to taste
Lettuce leaves, for serving
Steamed rice, for serving
Ssamjang (spicy dipping sauce), for serving
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, mirin, rice wine, garlic, ginger, sesame seeds, green onions, mushrooms, onions, salt, and pepper. Add the beef slices and toss to coat evenly. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
Heat a large skillet or grill over high heat. Cook the marinated beef slices in batches, for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.
Serve the cooked beef on a platter of lettuce leaves with steamed rice and ssamjang (spicy dipping sauce) on the side.
