Ingredients:
1 lb flank steak, sliced into thin pieces
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons garlic, minced
2 tablespoons ginger, minced
1 tablespoon chili paste
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 scallions, chopped
Steamed rice and steamed vegetables, for serving
Instructions:
Heat the oil in a large wok or frying pan over high heat.
Add the garlic and ginger and stir-fry for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until browned.
In a small bowl, mix together the chili paste, soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, cornstarch, and sesame oil.
Pour the sauce over the beef and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes, until the sauce thickens and the beef is coated.
Serve the Hunan beef over steamed rice, topped with chopped scallions and accompanied by steamed vegetables.
